LAKEWOOD ROTARY FUNDRAISING

Dear Neighborhood Business Partner,

We would like your business to be a part of a great tradition in Lakewood.

Since its beginning in 1956, the Lakewood Rotary Club has generously distributed over $4 million dollars to various projects and organizations throughout Lakewood to help make our community a great place to live and work. Our recent major projects include raising $300,000 for the Pavilion in the Park at Fort Steilacoom Park, and $27,500 for a new truck for Nourish food bank. In addition to our major projects, Lakewood Rotary distributes $30,000-$40,000 yearly to worthy groups and organizations in the greater Lakewood area.

You can help by donating an item or certificate to our Online Auction on Mary 20th to 21st or perhaps being a sponsor. If interested, please contact Committee Chair, Nicole Hancock at nhancock@alliancelg.com. Forms are also avilable on the Rotary Club of Lakewood website at lakewoodrotary.com.

Please join with Lakewood Rotary in making this a great auction for Lakewood.

Sincerely

Committee Chair

The Cause

Our annual auction event is our flagship fundraiser program. We are proud to generate funds to help local businesses and causes in our Lakewood community as well as distribute polio vaccines and help other communities around the world.

The Rotary Club of Lakewood has devoted over 60 years of volunteering and service projects to improve our communities both near and far.  A few of our projects include: construction of the pavilion and playground at Fort Steilacoom Park in the heart of Lakewood, the formation of the Lakewood YMCA and the Lakewood Boys and Girls Club, funding the “Jaws of Life” and emergency vehicle for the Lakewood Fire Department, raising $100,000 for the Mary Bridge Children’s Sexual Abuse Center, funding the start up of the International Baccalaureate program in the Clover Park School District.

We are excited to continue our 2022 fundraising experience with an online auction. We know that the need in the community continues to grow and still want to give back to those that need it most.
